EASTER EVENT

April 19, 2025

The Easter event became old fashioned when local Tyler Hendrick mentioned a Family Easter hunt tradition he had as a kid, and it became a reality! Tyler would hunt for real hard-boiled eggs! And you know what? It is a whole lot of fun! There are a couple of different egg hunts set-up at the NMCC for various age groups. Outside for the older kids with a mixture of Hard Boiled and plastic goodie filled eggs, and inside for the younger kids in designated egg pits. Of course, the younger kids may participate in any of the older kids events. So parents, sit back and relax and let the kiddos have fun searching for eggs real and fake around the community center grounds. Once the hunt is over, the Center Schoolhouse is open for crafts and a delicious potluck lunch. In past years, the Nine Mile Community Center baked the hams, and the community brought the sides. A delightful event for persons of all ages.

Volunteers will be needed on April 18th to help set-up for the event, during the event, and following the event for clean-up. The simplicity or complexity of the event is solely based on volunteers! Stuffing eggs, baking hams, setting up the dining room and egg hunts, all require the help of volunteers. Interested in being a volunteer for this event? E-Mail Us!
