The entire property - Stark Schoolhouse, Church, and Pavilion - is available for rent for private or public events. The income from rental fees is used to help offset the costs of maintaining this beautiful piece of Montana history and hosting community events.
Weddings & Showers
Making plans for that special day? Our charming country church and historic rural school grounds might be just the spot for you! We offer an all-inclusive venue for gatherings up to 150 guests. Our venue includes both indoor and outdoor facilities, giving you the flexibility and security to host your event year-round, rain or shine.
Reunions & Celebrations
Bring your family and friends together for a special event at our historic property in the Nine Mile Valley! Whether you are celebrating family or honoring the life of a dearly departed family member, you will feel comfortable in these surroundings.
Community Events
Public or community events, such as fundraisers for nonprofit organizations, local groups' social events, public meetings sponsored by government entities or nonprofits, and significant holiday events can be held at the Nine Mile Community Center.

Private Events: $200 (up to four hours) or $1,400 (full day), plus a security deposit

Submit a Request
Submit a request to the Nine Mile Community Center with the following information:
- Name
- Date
- Start & End Times
- Event Description

Sign Rental Contract
Upon approval of your event, the Nine Mile Community Center Usage Application and Rental Contract will be sent to you for completion. Send the completed packet and applicable rental reservation fees via USPS to:

Pay Remaining Fees
Remaining fees are due no later than 60 days prior to your event.
