Stained glass is a timeless art form that blends creativity, craftsmanship, and engineering—and it requires a good deal of patience, too. While stained glass has been around for over a thousand years, I’ve been creating my own stained-glass pieces for the past 27 years, and I still learn something new every year.

​

Each piece I make is entirely handmade, giving it a unique character and individuality. No two pieces are ever exactly alike.

Making stained glass pieces can involve approximately 5 to 12 steps, depending on the construction method and complexity. I primarily use the copper foil technique, which involves wrapping the edges of each piece of glass with copper foil before soldering them together. Most stained glass objects—like suncatchers, ornaments, and decorative flowers—contain lead or lead came. However, all of my jewelry is made with lead-free solder, making it safe to handle and wear.
