Join us for a terrific new community event which made its debut in 2018. We had a tremendous turnout last year, positive feedback - and we sold out of both growlers and grub. Join us in 2019 for the next cook off!
Stop tempting the valley bears with your apples...pick 'em up and bring them to the Community Center for a free cider pressing! You'll have your own cider to take home and enjoy, plus you'll be keeping our bears safe from unwanted encounters. Bonus! You can enjoy our gala chili cook off ($5 for chili sample lunch) and rate the skills of our local chili gurus! New this year - Apple Dessert Contest! For $3 you get to sample and judge 3 of up to 25 dessert options. Or, for the best of both worlds, purchase a chili and dessert combo for $7. Nine Mile custom growlers available to purchase ($10 each)! Chili entries are limited to a total of 10 contestants and dessert entries are limited to 25 contestants, and the entry form must be submitted by October 4. Get your chili and or dessert on!

The Turkey Shoot
An old fashioned Turkey Shoot is put on by the Community Center and the Sapphire Mountain Men during the annual Holiday Craft Fair. The Turkey Shoot starts at 11:00
No turkeys are killed! This is a fun target shoot with black powder guns, provided by the Sapphire Mountain Men.
If the school house and lunch room become too crowded, come see the vendors in the church and under the pavilion. Take aim with the Mountain Men, rest your feet while sitting under the pavilion with a cup of coffee or warm cider, hop on a hay ride, or warm your toes by the bonfire while enjoying a good conversation with a neighbor.
This is the Nine Mile Valley Holiday Fair, come rain, snow or shine.
The 2019 Craft Fair Vendors
More than 25 vendors will be selling their hand crafted wares at this year's fair. We have opened the doors of the Nine Mile Community Center Church and set up more vendors under the pavilion. Some of our vendors have been selling their wares at the Nine Mile Valley Holiday Fair for more years than we know, while others have joined us for their first time. You can find the following hand crated items by local artists; artwork, ceramics, mushrooms gifts, honey, skin care products, toffee and truffles, ornaments, fused glass, fur hats, photographs, jewelry, wool mittens, PJs, hand massagers, wooden signs, t-shirts, soaps, metal ornaments, hand spun yarn, jams, jelly and fudge, sewn wallets, gift cards, tote bags and holiday wreaths, to name a few.
New this year, we will offer a holiday gift wrapping service in the church and a "Farm to Table Massage" outside near the pavilion. As usual, we will have two Buyer Incentive Baskets to be given away at the end of the day to two lucky customers. In order to win, place a Buyer Incentive Ticket, after making a purchase from one of our vendors, in the box next to the basket you prefer and hope that your ticket is drawn. The baskets are filled with beautiful items donated by our vendors.
