July 4th Nine Mile Valley ATV/UTC Parade
Saturday, July 4th 2020
Citizens from our valley have organized a 4th of July ATV/UTV Parade to help celebrate this special day. The parade begins at 1:30 pm, from Ranch Lane to Nine Mile Road and concludes at the Nine Mile Community Center. Please join us in celebrating this special day with an ATV/UTV Parade!
Local organizers will have prizes for the best 4th of July/patriotic decorated vehicle to be awarded at the conclusion of the parade at the NMCC. Come out and be a part of the celebration - put your flag out and cheer us on or be a parade participant! Line up for the parade on July 4th at 1:00 pm on Ranch Lane just off W Nine Mile Rd south of the one-lane bridge. Please ATVs/UTVs only - no cars, trucks, or motorcycles in the parade.
If interested in participating in the parade, please register by sending an e-mail with your name and number of parade vehicles to or call Julie Van Hise at (406) 626-2535. A $10 donation for registration is suggested, not required—this is about freedom after all. If you are able donations will be collected upon arrival at the parade line-up.
NO FIREWORKS or sparklers during the parade or at the rally points! Please no parking of vehicles and trailers at the rally start point. There is limited parking available at the NMCC - do not block the parade route or the NMCC grounds. Please be respectful of each other and follow social distancing guidelines at both rally points and during the parade. Cheer them on or sign up now!
Nine Mile Community Wide Yard Sale
Saturday July 18, 2020
On Saturday, July 18th, the Nine Mile Community Center and the Nine Mile Valley residents are planning to coordinate numerous Garage/Yard Sales up and down the valley. You can hold your own private sale that day, or if you live too far off the beaten path or do not have enough items to have your own garage sale, the NMCC will have spaces, with optional tables and chairs, available to rent so you can sell your items at the center. Plan to come out and join us, see your neighbors, spend a sunny day outside and hopefully go home with new special trinkets, gadgets, tools, clothing, sporting equipment, art pieces, and/or home furnishings, etc.
The NMCC Yard Sale spaces will all be outside and laid out with social distancing in mind. There will be spaces for trunk sales, spaces under the pavilion, and spaces spread out on the grass. The NMCC will provide the space and advertising, either you or NMCC can provide the tables and chairs for your setup. Registration will begin on June 18, 2020, and there will be a $10 registration fee per space, no matter the space size or location. Spaces are limited so register early, first come, first served. Contact Shannon Stalpaert at or (360) 632-2587 for more information regarding registration.

Stop tempting the valley bears with your apples...pick 'em up and bring them to the Community Center for a free cider pressing! You'll have your own cider to take home and enjoy, plus you'll be keeping our bears safe from unwanted encounters. Bonus! You can enjoy our gala chili cook off ($5 for chili sample lunch) and rate the skills of our local chili gurus! New this year - Apple Dessert Contest! For $3 you get to sample and judge 3 of up to 25 dessert options. Or, for the best of both worlds, purchase a chili and dessert combo for $7. Nine Mile custom growlers available to purchase ($10 each)! Chili entries are limited to a total of 10 contestants and dessert entries are limited to 25 contestants, and the entry form must be submitted by October 4. Get your chili and or dessert on!

More than 25 vendors will be selling their hand crafted wares at this year's fair. We have opened the doors of the Nine Mile Community Center Church and set up more vendors under the pavilion. Some of our vendors have been selling their wares at the Nine Mile Valley Holiday Fair for more years than we know, while others have joined us for their first time. You can find the following hand crated items by local artists; artwork, ceramics, mushrooms gifts, honey, skin care products, toffee and truffles, ornaments, fused glass, fur hats, photographs, jewelry, wool mittens, PJs, hand massagers, wooden signs, t-shirts, soaps, metal ornaments, hand spun yarn, jams, jelly and fudge, sewn wallets, gift cards, tote bags and holiday wreaths, to name a few.
New this year, we will offer a holiday gift wrapping service in the church and a "Farm to Table Massage" outside near the pavilion.
