

Great Spring Clean-up Day!
We were blown away (again!) by the terrific support from Ninemilers (and friends) who showed up in record numbers to help gussy-up the Nine Mile Community Center for the summer season. We're still waiting for our first warm and sunny spring day, but the blustery cold didn't stop anyone! We counted 33 helpers in attendance, plus a menagerie of pooches who kept watch on the activities. We were a beehive of activity, both inside the Community Center and outside on the grounds,


They're baaaack!
Spring isn't really spring in the 9 Mile until we've spotted the elk across from the Community Center. They typically show up in late March and put on a great show for a few weeks, and then amble on their way. They're in residence now, and in numbers larger than in recent years. It's always a joy to see them browsing on snippets of green while serenaded by the sing-song of birds. If your timing is right, you'll also spot a pair of sandhill cranes that have been likewise ha
